The EVOLVEO FreeTalk 2W package contains a pair of high-quality walkie-talkies with a range of up to 15km. The walkie-talkie is designed to work on two bands. On the PMR 446 (446MHz) band with 0.5W of power and on the 448MHz band with 2W of power. A total of 8 channels are available across both bands. For encoding each of these, there are 121 codes in total. This includes 38 CTCSS codes, which encode by transmitting and receiving a low tone below the speech spectrum, and 83 DCS codes, which encode by transmitting and receiving digital data along with the audio signal. The codes are used to filter out other users transmitting on the same channel. The FreeTalk 2W walkie-talkie also features a channel monitoring function. The 1300mAh battery is ideal for multi-day trips in the great outdoors.

Long range for use in challenging terrain
The range of the EVOLVEO FreeTalk walkie-talkie depends on the terrain conditions and the band you use. 2W of power on the 448Mhz band (channels 6–8) gives the FreeTalk 2W a range of up to 15km. This power is ideal for communicating over longer distances or in rugged terrain. If the signal reception quality on the 446MHz band (channels 1–5) and 0.5W power is sufficient, there is no need to select the channels on the 448MHz band. At 0.5W, the EVOLVEO FreeTalk walkie-talkie will operate for longer.
Switchable power for ideal sound quality
The 2W power setting also affects the received signal quality of the EVOLVEO FreeTalk walkie-talkie. If the signal quality is insufficient at 0.5W (channels 1–5), switch the EVOLVEO FreeTalk to the higher 2W power (channels 6–8) to achieve higher quality transmitted sound.
