How to use QUIXX Wheel Repair Kit correctly
The repair kit is easy to use and can be handled by a beginner. Just follow these four steps:
- Surface preparation - Thoroughly clean the rim and its surroundings. Do not forget to apply the protective tape.
- Grinding - Gently sand the damaged area with 600 grit sandpaper and then clean the treated areas with soapy water and dry.
- Filling and modelling– Apply the repair sealant liquid aluminum and shape it to match the original rim shape. Allow to dry (recommended drying time: 30-60 minutes). Then sand the filler lightly with 100 grit sandpaper. If the surface is rough, add a little water and use 600 grit paper to smooth it before painting. Wash and dry the rim.
- Applying the paint- Apply the paint to the repaired area in several thin layers. Allow each coat to dry briefly to prevent lumps from forming. Once finished, allow the paint to dry for at least 24 hours for maximum durability.
