Laptop batteries with premium cells
AVACOM now comes with laptop batteries made of high-capacity cells from PANASONIC, LG and SONY. These batteries boast up to 32% higher capacity than the original batteries, while keeping the exact same size and weight. For example, we now offer a six-cell battery with an original capacity of 4400mAh with these new cells, boosting its capacity to 5800mAh. The cells used to assemble these batteries also have a longer lifespan than most types of cells used by leading laptop manufacturers.
Batteries from quality components
The batteries feature sophisticated electronics with dual protection. This part manages the charging of individual cell branches and also protects them from overcharging and deep discharging. Batteries containing high-capacity cells significantly increase laptop battery life, so you do not have to travel with a power adapter even for longer meetings.
How to keep your battery in good condition
The battery is partially charged from the factory, yet its capacity and performance do not reach 100%. Therefore, for optimal formatting, we recommend repeating the full charge and discharge cycle at least 3× right at the beginning. Constantly connecting your device to the power grid reduces battery capacity, so we recommend disconnecting it from the mains from time to time. If you do not use the battery, store it charged in a dry place, check and recharge it approximately every six months.
What damages batteries
One of the most common causes of battery deterioration is storing it fully discharged and leaving it unused for a long time. Do not expose the battery to temperatures above 60°C. If the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, charge it only when it reaches room temperature. Only use the battery in devices for which it is designed. Also ensure that the battery is not exposed to short circuits or high discharge currents. Protect it from mechanical damage, chemicals and moisture.
