Ionization - negative ion generator
The BaByliss PRO Excess HQ is equipped with a central negative ion generator that can create an exceptional volume of several million ions per cm³. Hair is naturally positively charged. During drying, this positive charge increases. It creates static electricity that pushes on the hair scales, and they move away from each other. The surface of the hair becomes rough and its appearance is dull. The negative ions generated by this hair dryer neutralize the positive charge and remove all static electricity from the hair. The hair cuticles are perfectly sealed, so the hair is flexible, shiny and easy to style. Ionic technology has also been shown to enhance the action of hair products.
AC motor
The Babyliss Pro hairdryer has a very high quality professional AC motor, which is characterized by great durability and provides excellent air speed. Absolutely precise assembly of moving parts for better acoustics. The BAB6990IE hair dryer is made in Italy. Optimisation of the heating element ensures an even temperature. The power heating element offers an excellent drying rate of 6.4 grams of water dried per minute. Average temperature of 90 °C at 25 mm without concentrator and up to over 140 °C with concentrator at maximum speed.
Strong power cord
The BAB6990IE hair dryer with new handle also brings a new power cord grommet that is three times stronger than the original one, which allowed over 60,000 bends without damage. The thicker grommet achieves more than 200,000 bends without damage. Power cord damage is one of the main technical faults encountered by hairdressers, a significant improvement and a considerable advantage for hairdressing professionals.
