All skin types react differently to sunlight, as each person has their own photosensitivity characterised by their respective phototype. When the sun shines, the surface of our skin receives 2 types of UV radiation:
UVB: Representing 5% of the UV spectrum, it is responsible for visible manifestations such as tanning or sunburn
UVA: It represents 95% of the UV spectrum, penetrates deep into the skin layers, is responsible for the invisible manifestations, such as oxidative stress and reduced skin immune response, leading to visible manifestations, such as skin aging and skin cancer.
To avoid these effects and overloading the skin filters, BIODERMA has created the innovative Sun Active Defense, a sun protection enhanced against UVA raysí. It combines UV filters and patented biological protection that boosts the skin's own defense mechanisms to help maintain long-term skin health in the sun.

Use:

Apply several times a day when in the sun. Apply evenly and liberally daily to face and neck before sun exposure (too little product reduces the level of sun protection). To maintain protection, reapply after sweating, swimming or towel drying.
