Studio monitors are a must-have device for any amateur or professional musician, DJ, producer, and sound engineer. Studio speakers are also ideal for demanding computer users who want something more than standard PC speakers can offer, but don’t want to pay extra for a typical Hi-Fi set.

Studio Monitors—Key Parameters

  • Mid-bass driver membrane diameter - the larger the membrane, the better studio monitor speakers can reproduce audio, including deep bass.
  • Inputs - basic inputs are 2 x RCA (cinch), XLR or TRS. They give studio monitors improved transmission and you can find them in professional components, graphics cards, and converters. Studio speakers can also support TRS <-> XLR  connection, depending on the connectors available in the source device and speaker.
  • Controls - each studio monitor has its own volume control, while better models also allow you to adjust  bass and treble.
