Two operations in one step
The Wolfcraft pilot drill combines drilling and countersinking, which speeds up your woodwork. In a single step, you can prepare the hole for the screw and sink its head. The key element is the adjustable depth stop, which gives you full control over the countersinking depth. Once the set depth is reached, the stop prevents further countersinking, avoiding sinking the screw too deep. The plastic design of the stop also protects the wood surface from scratches.
Countersink design and use
The tool is made from tool steel and includes an integrated 3.2mm drill bit. The conical countersink itself has a 12mm diameter, a 45° angle and three flutes that create a clean, burr-free countersink. The pilot drill is designed for countersunk head screws with a diameter of 3.5 to 6mm. The 6.35mm (1/4″) hexagonal shank for quick tool changes makes it easy to fit into a drill or cordless screwdriver. The recommended speed is between 1000 and 1500 revolutions per minute.
