The Levenhuk New Skyline Plus 114/900 EQ1 reflector telescope is designed for both beginners and intermediate astronomers. Its specifications make it ideal for observing the Moon, planets in our Solar System, and deep-sky objects such as nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters. The instrument is equipped with an EQ1 equatorial mount, which makes it easier to track celestial objects as they move across the sky. You can adjust the height of the aluminium tripod as needed.
This telescope is a Newtonian reflector design. The 114mm primary mirror and 900mm focal length gather enough light to observe even faint deep-sky objects. All optical elements have a multi-layer anti-reflection coating, which increases light transmission and contributes to a brighter, higher-contrast image. This gives the telescope a limiting stellar magnitude of 12.9, so you can see even dimmer stars.
The set includes an EQ1 equatorial mount. This type of mount compensates for the Earth's rotation, so you only need to turn a single control to keep the observed object in the field of view. This is useful for longer observations or at higher magnifications. The mount is equipped with fine-adjustment controls on both axes, enabling precise aiming. The entire setup stands on an aluminium tripod with adjustable height, which provides a stable base and allows for observation in various positions.
The basic kit includes accessories for observation. The package contains two eyepieces (SUPER 10mm and SUPER 25mm) and a Barlow lens that doubles their magnification. This provides a magnification range from 36× up to 228×. A 5×24 optical finderscope is used for locating objects. The telescope is also suitable for astrophotography, as the eyepiece focuser has a standard M42 T-thread for connecting an SLR camera. You can also install a smartphone adapter.
