The Levenhuk New Skyline Plus 130/650 SQ2 mirror telescope is a Newtonian reflector suitable for observing the Moon, the planets of our solar system, and deep-sky objects such as galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters. Its optics use a parabolic primary mirror that delivers a sharp, clear image without spherical distortion. With a 130mm objective lens diameter and a 650mm focal length, the telescope offers sufficient power for both beginners and more advanced astronomers. The body is made from a lightweight but strong aluminium alloy.
The core of the telescope is its high-quality optical system. The main parabolic mirror, with a diameter of 130mm, gathers a large amount of light, enabling you to observe even faint objects with a limiting stellar magnitude of up to 12.4. All optical elements have a multi-layer anti-reflection coating, which increases light transmission and ensures a higher-contrast, brighter image. With the included eyepieces, you can achieve magnifications of 26× and 65×, while the maximum useful magnification of the telescope is up to 260×, which you will appreciate when examining the surface of the Moon or planets in detail.
The telescope is set on a robust SQ2 equatorial mount, which makes it easier to track celestial objects as they move across the sky. Once properly aligned, you only need to turn a single control to keep an object in the field of view. The mount is equipped with fine-adjustment mechanisms on both axes, enabling precise and smooth aiming. The stability of the entire system is ensured by a steel tripod with adjustable height. A red dot finder is also included, which significantly simplifies finding the desired object in the sky.
