The Mikrotik RB951Ui-2nD internal WiFi Access Point is a compact network device designed for reliable wireless and wired transmission in homes or small offices. This small home access point is based on its popular predecessor, the RB951-2n, and improves upon it in many areas. The device is suitable for places where you need a reliable wireless transmitter and the ability to connect several other devices using classic Ethernet cables.
The access point operates in single-band mode and uses the 2.4GHz frequency band for wireless connections. It supports 802.11b/g/n standards, while 2×2 MIMO technology ensures stable signal distribution. The integrated, non-removable 1.5dBi gain antenna helps to optimise coverage, and the maximum wireless transfer speed reaches 300Mbps.
An integrated firewall, along with support for VPN tunnels for secure remote connections, protects network traffic and connected users. The device supports the IPv6 protocol and enables effective network traffic management using QoS tools. The entire system is managed by the advanced RouterOS operating system with a Level 4 licence.
Reliable operation of the entire device is ensured by a single-core QCA9531 processor with a nominal frequency of 650MHz, supported by 64MB of RAM and 16MB of fast flash storage. The system can be operated in router mode or as a classic access point. Configuration is made easy by the factory default settings, so all you have to do is plug the device in and start using it straight away.
The device offers a wealth of physical connectivity options. There are five Ethernet ports with a speed of 10/100Mbps, with the fifth port supporting the PoE-out function for powering other network elements. One USB 2.0 port is available for connecting external modems.
