The Alpina Apax JR. MIPS helmet ensures reliable head protection for children when riding mountain and MTB bikes. It is made using an in-mould process and features a robust ceramic shell. A polycarbonate plate is stretched into the shape of the eventual helmet at a high temperature, pressed onto the Hi-EPS body at high pressure and thermally bonded to it. The ceramic shell is break- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable and antistatic. The helmet provides a high degree of protection and comfort, which is enhanced by the MIPS technology. The lower edge of the helmet is protected by an additional polycarbonate Edge Protect shell, which fits smoothly onto the upper shell. Ideal ventilation is provided by 15 ventilation holes, while integrated insect nets protect children from insects. The shield guarantees additional protection in the field of vision.
