Kereszt és Félhold is a fairly complex, abstract battle strategy game with modular boards that takes players into the battles between Turkish and Hungarian armies in the 17th century. Each round consists of two phases. In the first phase, players prepare their military operations behind screens by placing cards and force dice. In the second phase, the actual combat takes place, where pre-set commands are carried out. The game ends when one side reaches 50 points. In the case of 4 players, the game becomes semi-cooperative - two commanders are in charge of the same army force, but the winner is the one with the higher score on the winning side. Troop cards are double-sided: By rotating them, players can develop troop abilities and unlock more advanced features. The rules include 4 realistic battle scenarios, but the modular game board allows players to create their own board, giving the game unlimited replay potential. A game of Kereszt és Félhold lasts approximately 120 minutes. The game is designed for 2-4 players aged 12 and up.
