The Panic Lab board game takes players into a scientific environment where lab samples have escaped. The task for all participants is to track down the specific escaped creature as quickly as possible based on the rolls of special dice. These dice determine the starting lab, the exact appearance of the amoeba being sought, and the direction of its escape. However, the path to capture is complicated by ventilation shafts, mutation chambers, and teleporters that change the amoeba's characteristics. Quickly assessing the situation and having sharp observation skills are key to winning a point token. This board game is designed for 2–10 players aged 8 and up, and one game lasts 10–30 minutes.

Searching for the escaped lab sample
Players take on the roles of scientists trying to find a lost amoeba in the chaos of the lab. It has escaped from the examination room and is crawling along a circular track made of individual tiles. The goal is to correctly determine its current location and be the first to point to the right card. Each successful find brings participants closer to overall victory by earning them point tokens.
Dice roll and mutation mechanics
The course of each round is determined by a roll of a special set of dice that define the characteristics of the creature being sought. The dice determine the colour, pattern, and shape of the amoeba, as well as the direction it took when leaving the lab. However, the path is not straightforward, as the creature can crawl through ventilation shafts or change its appearance in mutation chambers. Players must mentally follow the entire escape route and react to changes in its characteristics.
