Take control of air traffic in a cockpit full of penguins
The Pingvin légitársaság board game puts players in the cockpit of a plane with an inexperienced penguin crew. In this communication-based party game, teams of pilots, flight attendants and air traffic controllers work together to safely navigate flights to their destinations. The player in the role of ground control gives instructions, while the other crew members try to correctly set the controls on the dashboard within the time limit. Quick reactions and precise coordination are essential to successfully complete the tasks on the cards and score points. Player roles and game objective
Players split into teams, taking turns as pilots, flight attendants and air traffic controllers. One team member acts as ground control, relaying instructions from the cards, while the rest of the crew operate the controls. The aim is to correctly set all the switches and levers on the dashboards before the time runs out. Successfully completing tasks earns the points needed for overall victory. The game is for 2–8 players aged 9 and over, with one game lasting 15–30 minutes.
Gameplay and turn structure
Within the 30-second time limit, measured by the sand timer, the team must complete as many instructions from the cards as possible. The player in the control tower describes the tasks and the others react instantly on the dashboard. Any mistake in setting the controls costs valuable seconds that could decide the success of the entire flight. After the round ends, all players swap positions.
Component design and packaging
The game includes a rich array of plastic, paper and cardboard controls that simulate a real cockpit. Players have coloured switches, sliders, push-button levers and a large red lever. All these components are stored in a sturdy box measuring 22×5×16cm. This makes the game board easy to assemble and ready for a quick start.
