The smell of sardines, mackerel, olive oil and tomatoes wafts through your factory. Transport yourself to 1950s Portugal and run your cannery to be the best in the market. The game of Lata is played in six rounds. Your task is to buy a batch of fish, oil and tomatoes, to make preserves out of them, sell them, to raise money, which will be used to expand the capacity of the factory, and capture the most valuable markets. Of course, you're up against competition, so you have to consider every step well. The game is based on a secret auction system that determines the order of moves. Bolder offers will give you more options but fewer action points to move forward. The player with the highest number of victory points wins.
