The caffeine is removed using a gentle, chemical-free method. AlzaCafé Colombia Popayan Decaf decaffeinated coffee beans are suitable for filter or espresso and is roasted to a medium degree in small batches in Slovakia based on current demand, so we can guarantee that it will reach you in perfect condition.

Unique natural decaffeination process
AlzaCafé Colombia Popayan Decaf coffee beans undergo a chemical-free decaffeination process, in which caffeine is extracted using sugar cane and water, which increases sweetness while preserving the coffee's characteristics. The green beans are placed in a steam chamber where the husk is removed. The beans are then immersed in spring water and, once the coffee is saturated with water, it is sent to extractors where the beans are in direct contact with ethyl acetate from sugar cane for 8 hours, which dissolves the caffeine content. The decaffeinated coffee is then dried in a chamber to achieve the same moisture content it had before the process.
