HPE Aruba Instant IAP-205H (RW) Hospitality 802.11ac Dual 2x2:2 Radio Integrated Antenna AP

The HPE Aruba Instant IAP-205H (RW) WiFi access point provides high performance for mid-sized enterprise and public networks. The compact access point provides modern operation control divided into two bands. The bandwidth reaches 867 Mb/sec on a 5GHz device with 802.11ac technology and uses two MIMO (2 × 2) streams. At the same time, it supplies 802.11n (2.4 GHz) clients with speeds of up to 300Mb/sec.

Key features of the HPE Aruba Instant IAP-205H (RW) WiFi access point

• Dual-band WiFi access point for multiple users (802.11ac with 2 × 2 MIMO)
• Supports up to 867Mb/sec over 5GHz and up to 300Mb/sec over 2.4GHz
• Priority processing and policy enforcement for individual applications (e.g. MS Lync)
• Spectrum analyser with 2.4GHz and 5GHz band scan to identify sources of interference
• Comprehensive protection against advanced online threats (identifies, classifies and blocks malicious files, URLs, and IPs)
• Adaptive Radio Management (ARM) automatically adjusts the channel and power
• Integrated TPM for secure storage of credentials and keys

ClientMatch optimisation technology

The HPE Aruba Instant IAP-205H (RW) WiFi access point includes enhanced ClientMatch technology. ClientMatch continuously collects performance data. If a mobile device moves away from the AP, or if the interference prevents the connection, ClientMatch automatically directs the device to the AP with better prerequisites to meet the data requirements.

Advanced Cellular Coexistence can handle even busy urban environments

The Advanced Cellular Coexistence (ACC) function, developed by Aruba, helps WLAN to operate with peak performance. The HPE Aruba Instant IAP-205H (RW) WiFi access point effectively suppresses the interference of 3G and 4G LTE mobile networks so that the network will not suffer outages when a variety of mobile devices are used in the area.

Operating modes for unique management and deployment requirements

Using the Aruba Mobility Controller management functionality, the HPE Aruba Instant IAP-205H (RW) WiFi access point offers centralised configuration, data encryption, network policy enforcement, and distributed and centralised redirects. In instant mode, Aruba immediately sends the network configuration to another AP in the WLAN. Turn on Instant AP, configure the setting through the air and connect other APs. With these features, network expansion is a piece of cake.
