BOSCH WQA23200CS Serie 4
BOSCH WQA23200CS Serie 4 tumble dryer
The BOSCH WQA23200CS Serie 4 heat pump tumble dryer takes care of up to 8kg of laundry and offers practical features for gentle and convenient drying. Its AutoDry technology uses sensors to monitor the temperature and residual moisture, drying laundry to the precise level you want while protecting it from overdrying or excessively high temperatures. Thanks to its efficient filtration system, the Easy Clean condenser only needs cleaning once every 2 years. For smaller amounts of laundry, you can use the optimised half-load setting, and there's also a Quick 40' programme for rapidly drying small batches of synthetic and lightweight fabrics.
Why choose the BOSCH WQA23200CS Serie 4 tumble dryer
Easy Clean Condenser reduces the need for cleaning:
the condenser only needs to be cleaned once every 2 years
Auto Dry function:
automatically dries to the precise level of dryness required
Half-load setting option:
for smaller amounts of laundry
Quick 40' dry:
for small quantities of synthetic clothing and thin fabrics
A wide selection of drying programmes
Cotton
For drying durable cotton and linen textiles.
Cotton Eco
An energy-saving programme for normally damp cotton laundry. It is optimised to achieve the lowest possible energy consumption when drying cotton.
Easy-care
For drying textiles made of synthetic fibres and mixed fabrics.
Mix
For drying cotton and synthetic textiles together.
Shirts/blouses
For drying shirts and blouses made of cotton, linen, synthetics or mixed fabrics. For best results, remove, hang or iron the laundry after the programme has finished.
Delicates
For gentle drying of delicate textiles, such as satin, synthetic fibres or mixed fabrics.
Towels
For durable cotton and linen textiles with higher hygiene requirements.
Hygiene Plus
Drying of durable boil-proof cotton and linen textiles. It is suitable for quiet drying.
Down
For drying textiles, blankets or duvets filled with down. It is advisable to dry larger items separately and to shake them after the programme has finished to distribute the filling evenly.
Duvet
For textiles, pillows, quilts and blankets with a synthetic filling. It is advisable to dry large items individually.
Quick 40'
A quick programme for small amounts of synthetic textiles and light cotton.
Sportswear
For quick-drying sportswear made of functional fibres, microfibre and synthetic materials.
Wool finish
For woollen textiles and laundry with wool content that is suitable for machine washing. The programme fluffs and refreshes the laundry, but may not dry it completely, so it is advisable to let it finish drying after the programme has ended.
Timed programme warm
A time-controlled programme suitable for pre-dried or slightly damp laundry and for finishing the drying of thicker or multi-layered textiles. This programme does not automatically detect the residual moisture in the laundry.
Easy Clean Condenser makes maintenance easy
The Easy Clean Condenser helps to significantly reduce the regular maintenance of the BOSCH WQA23200CS dryer. The efficient filter system in the door traps lint before it reaches the condenser, so you only need to clean it once every 2 years. When it's time for maintenance, a handy indicator will alert you that cleaning is needed.
Auto Dry protects laundry from over-drying
With the Auto Dry system, you just need to choose whether you want your laundry iron-dry or extra-dry to put away in the wardrobe. Thanks to sensors that constantly measure temperature and moisture, you always get the optimal result.
Quick 40' drying
Need a small amount of clothing ready quickly? The Quick 40' programme is designed for a small load of synthetic clothing and thin fabrics, drying them in approximately 40 minutes. The precise temperature control system also monitors the moisture level of the laundry in real time to help ensure a suitable drying result.

Is it possible to change the door opening direction on the dryer?
Yes, on many models the door opening direction can be reversed. You'll find this information and the exact procedure in the manual for your specific appliance.
What is the difference between the dryers available?
Dryers mainly differ in technology (most commonly condenser models with a heat pump), drum capacity, energy efficiency class, noise level, and extra features such as steam programs, smart app control, or a self-cleaning condenser.
What type of connection kit can be used?
To safely place a dryer on top of a washing machine, you need a stacking kit from the same manufacturer, compatible with your specific washer and dryer models.
There is water at the bottom of the dryer, is that normal?
A small amount of residual water near the filter or at the bottom of the drum after a cycle is common. If there's more than that, check that the filters are clean and that any condensate drain hose isn't blocked.
Can the dryer be connected to a drain?
Yes, most modern condenser dryers allow direct connection to a drain using a supplied or separately purchased hose. This removes the need to manually empty the condensate container.
After connecting the dryer to the drain, there is always water in the reservoir after drying.
Check that the drain hose is installed correctly, isn't kinked anywhere, and has enough slope. A small amount of residual water in the tank is normal, but it shouldn't keep filling up.
Can I connect the dryer to the same drain as the washing machine?
Yes, this can be done using a Y-piece for the drain (a dual trap). The installation must be done correctly to prevent water from flowing back into either appliance.
There is no water in the condensate container even after several drying cycles.
If the dryer is connected directly to a drain, this is completely normal – the water simply drains away and the container doesn't need emptying. If it isn't connected, check whether the filters or condensate drainage system are blocked.
The laundry is still damp after the program finishes.
Try selecting a higher drying level, such as "Cupboard Dry Plus." Other possible causes include an overloaded drum, dirty filters, or a soiled moisture sensor that needs cleaning.
Can I adjust the drying temperature on the dryer?
Setting the temperature directly in degrees Celsius usually isn't possible. The temperature is controlled automatically based on the selected program (cotton, synthetics, delicates, etc.), though some programs offer a gentler, lower-temperature option.
Why does the program time lengthen or shorten?
Modern dryers use moisture sensors to measure how damp the laundry still is. The displayed time is just an estimate that adjusts dynamically as the clothes dry — this is normal behavior and ensures efficient drying.
The dryer completes the drying program after a few minutes (with a small load).
When drying a very small load (e.g., a single item), the moisture sensors may not read reliably, causing the program to end early. For small loads, it's better to use a timed program instead.
Can I dry laundry in the dryer?
Always check the care symbols on the garment label. A square with a circle inside means tumble drying is safe; if that symbol is crossed out, the item shouldn't go in the dryer.
Is it possible to use a cleaning agent for heat pumps on all types of dryers?
No, cleaning agents are specific to a particular model or series. Only use original products recommended by your dryer's manufacturer to avoid damaging it.
What is the drying temperature and why can't I adjust the drying temperature?
Heat pump dryers operate at lower temperatures, typically between 50–60°C, which is gentler on fabrics. The temperature is set automatically by the program — manual adjustment isn't possible, in order to ensure proper fabric care and energy efficiency.
Do I need to connect the dryer to a drain?
No, you don't have to. All condenser dryers come with a removable condensate container, and connecting to a drain is just an optional convenience.
