We would not wish it on our worst enemy. A power outage just before the entire file was saved. Your work is irretrievably lost, and you have to start all over again. Such tragic scenarios can be warded off by the FSP iFP 2000 UPS. This is just another name for a battery reservoir that powers all appliances needing electricity. The FSP iFP 2000 backup power features the Line interactive design approach. Off-line is seen as the most basic form when power fails, since it connects to the battery and disconnects from the mains power. The line interactive UPS enhances the simpler off-line version of data line surge suppression to guard against dangerous surges travelling along data lines.

The most important parameter is the battery run time. This depends on the energy consumption – for example, at half-load (50%), the backup time can last up to three times as long. It is therefore crucial to determine the power consumption of the connected computers, monitors and other electronics and ideally to have some extra power left. The FSP iFP 2000 shows the apparent power as 2000, but with realistic use, the actual power usage is 1200 W.
