FujiFilm Instax SQ40
FujiFilm Instax SQ40
The Fujifilm Instax SQ40 instant camera is the ideal choice for those who want to capture stylish instant images in a square format. The retro alternative to the SQ1 shares many technical features with its predecessor - it uses the same square format film, the same lens and the same battery. It is distinguished by a two-tone black and silver surface finish with a pleasing texture and a premium leather look that evokes classic pre-digital cameras. The FujiFilm Instax SQ40 instant camera photos have a square format that has the distinctive and iconic look associated with retro Polaroid cameras. For many photographers and artists, the square format has a special appeal and potential for creative expression. Use the square format to explore the symmetry, balance and composition of your images to create a unique work of art. Power is provided by two CR2 batteries, which last for approximately 30 packs of film, i.e. about 300 frames.

Instant camera lens
The FujiFilm Instax SQ40 instant camera lens has a focal length of 65.75mm and an aperture of f/12.6, offering an approximately equivalent field of view of 32.4mm. The SQ40 uses a inverted Galiley viewfinder with 0.4x magnification and a programmed electronic shutter (1/2 to 1/400 sec. ) with slow synchronization in low light. The built-in automatic flash has an effective range of 0.3-2.2 metres with a charge time of approx. 7.5 seconds.
Simple and intuitive operation
The FujiFilm Instax SQ40 Instant Camera is easy and intuitive to use - just insert the film, turn the lens to turn it on, put the viewfinder to your eye, press the shutter button and the Instant Camera does the rest. Auto Exposure detects the light level when you press the shutter button and automatically adjusts the shutter speed and flash power for the best result. This allows the user to capture a well-exposed image regardless of lighting conditions. Double-rotate the lens to activate selfie mode with close focusing (0.3-0.5m). In normal shooting, care must be taken to keep the subject in the lens axis, as the viewfinder does not compensate for parallax. For self-portraits, the mirror on the front makes it easy to check your composition.
