The 800XL - Retro Console
The Atari 800XL retro gaming console is one of the most successful and popular models of Atari's 8-bit home computers. It was launched in 1983 and quickly gained a reputation as a powerful yet user-friendly device. It built upon its predecessors, the Atari 400 and 800, taking the best from them and adding a more modern design and better technical capabilities. Thanks to the specialised ANTIC and GTIA chips, the Atari 800XL offers more vivid graphics and smoother visuals, while the POKEY sound chip provides a rich and distinctive audio experience.

The 800XL Gaming Console in a Retro Design
One of the main advantages of the Atari 800XL is its 64KB of RAM, which for its time allowed it to run more complex games and applications. The new, sleeker design was complemented by a full-size, long-travel keyboard, making the computer suitable not only for gaming, but also for typing and working with programs. The controls were intuitive and accessible even for less experienced users.
