Satellite converter (hereinafter referred to as LNB) are arranged at the focal point of a parabolic antenna. The device receives a signal from the satellite, amplifies it and converts it to a lower frequency. The converted signal is further processed and transferred to the satellite receiver via a coaxial cable.

Number of outputs for receivers:

  • With output for 1 receiver (single LNB)
  • For two receivers - tuners (Twin LNB)
  • For up to four receivers - tuners (Quad LNB)
  • For up to 8 receivers - tuners (Octo LNB)
  • Special LNB Quattro - Designed exclusively for connection with the multiswitch. Use it in large installations with a large number of receivers, eg. In residential buildings. This type of LNB is not designed for direct connection of receivers.

LNB Monoblock

  • receives signals from the two satellites at once
  • Fixed reception for the most common satellites 19.2°E (Astra 1) + 23.5°E (Astra 3)

Other features

  • Noise figure (reported in dB) - the smaller the value, the better the converter will control the received signal. The noise figure is already below 0.3 dB quite sufficient for the standard reception
  • Multifeed - You can receive multiple LNB signals with only one dish

Satellite Converters (LNB)

LNB (Low Noise Block) is a device for receiving the high-frequency satellite signal from a satellite, the signal being amplified and converted to a lower frequency. The signal then passes to the satellite receiver, via a coaxial cable with an F-connector, which transmits the digital image and sound to the TV.

Quality of the satellites

Satellite converters are placed at the focal point of the parabola, of a satellite antenna. For offset dishes that dominate the market, for the best possible reception of the satellite signals, the converter is not placed centrally. The quality of the LNB determines the noise figure (in dB), for which the lower it is, the better the received signal. If you want to connect several satellite receivers, select a converter with the appropriate number of outputs. The companies  Maximum , Inverto , Zircon , Mascom or even Smart offer converters.
