Thermoplastic polyurethane and its advantages
The S-Tubo Road inner tube is based on thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which replaces traditional butyl tubes. This material achieves a low weight while maintaining puncture resistance comparable to standard inner tubes. This also makes the tube very compact, taking up minimal space in a backpack or jersey pocket. For correct installation, it's important to inflate the tube to 0.2–0.5 bar before mounting it when it is outside the rim, and ensure the valve is pointing inwards.
