The Ubiquiti airCube Home WiFi Access Point is a compact indoor access point with support for the Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) wireless standard. The dual-band transmitter operates on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies and provides a total theoretical speed of up to 1,166.7Mbps. In the 2.4GHz band, it offers a speed of 300Mbps, and in the 5GHz band, it reaches speeds of up to 866.7Mbps. The device uses an integrated antenna system with 2×2 MIMO technology for stable signal distribution. Its dimensions of 87.8 × 89.5 × 89.25mm and weight of 280g make it easy to place in any interior. Power is supplied by the included adapter or passive PoE.

The access point supports standards in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. The speed in the 2.4GHz band reaches 300Mbps and in the 5GHz band reaches 866.7Mbps. The wireless part uses an antenna system with 2×2 MIMO technology for efficient data transfer to connected client stations. The gain of the internal antennas is 4dBi for the 2.4GHz band and 5dBi for the 5GHz band. Wireless transmission is protected by WPA2 encryption, which prevents unauthorised access to the network. The device includes an integrated firewall to filter unwanted network traffic.
Management Options, Operating Modes and Port Setup
The device operates in access point mode and offers flexible configuration options. Management can be done via a web interface or the UNMS mobile app. This system facilitates remote administration and bulk management of multiple units on the network. There is also support for QoS traffic prioritisation and the configuration of up to 4 separate SSIDs. Physical connectivity is provided by four Gigabit Ethernet ports, which are divided into one WAN port and three LAN ports. The device supports power via 24V passive PoE on LAN port 1, while the WAN port offers PoE Passthrough to power airMAX client units. It can also be powered by a power adapter via a standard electrical socket. The maximum power consumption is 8.5W.
