Simplified installation
The fan is equipped with daisy-chainable 4-pin PWM connectors, which significantly simplify cable management inside your PC case. This connection system lets you connect several fans in series and then control them via a single connector on the motherboard. This eliminates the need for an external fan hub and reduces the total number of cables, contributing to a cleaner build and better airflow.
AirGuide technology in the Corsair RS120 fan
CORSAIR AirGuide technology uses specially shaped stator vanes to direct and concentrate the outgoing airflow. Instead of a diffuse cone of air, this creates a concentrated column that cools the components directly below the fan. This principle increases cooling efficiency on both water-cooling radiators and passive heatsinks, as air penetrates the dense finning more effectively and sideways pressure loss is reduced.
Quiet operation and low friction
A magnetic dome bearing ensures smooth, quiet operation by reducing friction and mechanical noise. The reduced friction also limits wear and extends the fan's operational lifespan. Under low system load, the fan activates Zero RPM mode, in which the blades stop completely. This ensures absolute silence when working with documents or browsing the web, when active cooling is not necessary.
