Tactical Battles
This new tactical roguelike brings Worms: Galactic Tactics PS5 to fully destructible 3D battlefields, where every turn offers an opportunity for considered movement, precise aiming and using weapons and useful items. Choose the right position, gain the advantage of higher ground and use the skill minigame to time your attack, hit your target and get a chance for a critical hit.
Galactic Gauntlet
At the heart of Worms: Galactic Tactics PS5 is the Galactic Gauntlet, a multi-stage deathmatch full of increasingly challenging battles. You will gradually face new types of enemies, specialists and champions, with each victory bringing new opportunities to upgrade your arsenal and prepare for the next encounter. Your goal is to ascend to the ruthless ruler of the gauntlet, Emperor Flugg.
Destructible Arenas
Every battlefield in Worms: Galactic Tactics PS5 offers a fully destructible 3D environment, so explosions can change the shape of the arena during the fight itself. Prepare your ideal position, aim precisely, and let the explosions obliterate your opponents and parts of the surrounding landscape. The hand-crafted arenas will take you through a variety of environments, from Candyland to the Imperial Palace.
WEAPONS
Upgrade Your Arsenal
Classic weapons from the Worms series are complemented by new destructive tools, including the Beambow, Meteor Sheep, Die napple and Cosmic Donkey. After each battle, the modification system will offer you new ways to customise your arsenal and create your own loadout. For example, you can upgrade your bazooka's explosions, add the ability for Fire Punch to drain life, use the Grapple to stun enemies, or create shields, empower allies and set fire to part of the map.
BATTLES
Progression and New Challenges
The series of battles in Worms: Galactic Tactics PS5 will gradually add new tactical challenges and opponents. After defeat, you'll use the Juice you've acquired to upgrade your worms and then you can get right back into the action. Item Crates will expand the available arsenal with more equipment, so you can find the right combination of weapons and upgrades for every situation.
ONLINE
Two-Player Combat
When you're not making your way through the Galactic Gauntlet in Worms: Galactic Tactics PS5, you can test your tactical skills in 1v1 mode. You'll be able to compete locally and online against opponents from all over the galaxy and measure your skills in a head-to-head battle.
HATS
Your Own Worm Squad
Create your own squad and customise its appearance with dozens of hats, voice packs and gravestones. Worms: Galactic Tactics PS5 lets you name individual worms and build a team to your own taste. For example, choose a look inspired by British police officers, put on a tinfoil hat, or create a colourful bunch of fighters ready to head into the Galactic Gauntlet.
