The central unit of the heart of your smart home
The wireless connection of Homematic IP devices to the HmIP-HAP Central Unit offers convenient setup and control of the complex smart home system using an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The mobile app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud that allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update the software and firmware of the devices, and forward configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP app to individual smart home devices.
Fire detectors as the basis for a smart home
There are still a large number of fires, and the risk of fires also increases as appliances become more equipped. The consequences of a fire can be fatal, both financially and psychologically. With smart home integration, you should include basic fire protection features in your plan. The HmIP-SWSD fire detectors react to the presence of smoke and in the event of an alarm activate the built-in 85 dB siren, emergency LED lighting and send a signal to the HmIP-HAP Central Unit. You will then receive information about the alarm event via push notifications in the Homematic IP mobile app and can take countermeasures.
Installation in new buildings
The detectors meet the latest standards and are approved according to EN 14604:2006. At the same time, they demonstrate compliance with the latest legislative requirements in the form of the Decree on Technical Conditions for Fire Protection of Buildings 268/2011 Coll. (amends the original well-known Decree No. 23/2008 Coll. ) and is thus designed for installation in new buildings with CE certification and documentation for the approval procedure.
Alarm indication and LED emergency lighting
In the event of a fire, it is not only essential to inform you as quickly and as early as possible, but also to point out the critical location or show you the quickest way to safely exit the home. That is why the Homematic IP detectors include not only acoustic warning with built-in 85 dB siren and visual red LED indication of alarm signalling, but also activation of a powerful white LED light for emergency lighting of the escape route at night or in case of heavily smoky areas.

Easy installation in just a few moments
In addition to manual control and remote control via a mobile app, the Homematic IP smart home system, of which the fire detectors are a part, also offers voice control support and communication with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Home Connect Plus technology. For secure, stable and reliable communication between devices, the system has its own unique radio technology with encrypted security, making it the first smart home system whose protocol, IT and data security are regularly tested and certified by the independent VDE institute.
Easy installation in just a few moments
Installation is very simple and can be done by anyone. The wireless communication and battery operation of the fire detectors offers the possibility of simple installation on the ceiling without the need for wiring. This means that the detector can be placed almost anywhere on the ceiling indoors. The package includes a bracket for fixed mounting on the ceiling using the supplied mounting material (dowels, screws). You connect the central unit to a 230 V network, connect it via an Ethernet cable to a standard router. You install the Homematic IP app and pair the devices by scanning the QR code. And that's it, simply in a few steps you are done.
