The biometric technology of fingerprinting has undergone significant developments in recent years. Old scanning methods are gradually being replaced by new and more efficient methods. How do these latest fingerprint scanning technologies work?

You can connect your phone to external devices via USB-OTG (On-The-Go). Devices such as flash drives, SD card readers, mice, keyboards, game controllers etc.

Fast charging is a technology that allows you to charge your phone more efficiently. Whereas previously the smartphone needed three hours to charge 100%, today less than half the time for the same battery size is just enough.

Reverse wireless charging is a technology that allows the use of energy, for example on a mobile phone to wirelessly charge another device, such as a smart watch. Therefore, you do not have to travel with two chargers.

Modern smartphones have all sorts of fun features, but plugging in the charger and cable every day does get annoying. Read our tips to learn how to set up wireless charging so you can keep your phone powered 24/7.

A mobile phone is water resistant if it meets a certified level of durability that allows total immersion. When it comes to mobile phones, it is the specification of the IP67, IP68, or IP69 Ingress Protection rating.

IP68 indicates the degree of protection of a device that is fully protected against dust and can also withstand immersion in water for more than 30 minutes or in a depth exceeding 1m. However, the specific conditions are determined by the manufacturer.

Often dubbed the display of the future, OLED displays are usually found on premium products. They offer high quality, a broad range of colours, low power consumption, high brightness, and excellent black colour reproduction. As a result, OLED displays are easy to view even in bright sunlight. Another advantage is the wide viewing angle, which reaches nearly 180 degrees.

A telephoto lens is a lens that allows you to “bring“ a distant object closer to your phone without physically approaching it. Most mobile phones zoom in two to five times.

The wide-angle lens allows the device to take photos at a wider angle than the phone' s primary lens. Therefore you will be able to fit such things into picture, for which you would normally need to take a few steps back and that is not always possible, for example indoors.

It software-wise compensates for shakes during video recording, thereby helping to achieve smoother and less shaky footage. The image is stabilized by digitally shifting its crop.

Mechanically compensates for hand shake during photography and video recording. Ensures sharper images in low light and smoother video footage without loss of image quality.

A-GPS is a sophisticated GPS protocol that helps you quickly locate your mobile device.

Bluetooth is the communication tool used by a huge amount of electronics. Learn how the frequency signal is generated and how it's used. In a simple overview of the different versions, we will show how Bluetooth has evolved and been refined. You can also learn something about the specifications and security of this communication standard.

A device that receives a GPS signal to determine and record a location. GPS modules can be found in car and motorcycle navigation systems, cyclocomputers, sporttesters and GPS locators.

Infraport is a wireless interface which, thanks to the emitted light pulses, can replace the remote control, for example on a television, and allows convenient control of various devices via a mobile application. It was used to transfer data between two devices initially, but this feature was replaced by more modern Bluetooth.

NFC (Near Field Communication) is a wireless communication used to establish a connection between portable devices, over a very short distance, only up to 4cm. Previously, NFC was used to transfer photos and videos, but you'll often hear about it in connection with contactless payments.

LTE (Long Term Evolution) marks the next generation of mobile data networks. This is an intermediate step between 3G and 4G. Although manufacturers and operators sometimes mistakenly refer to it as 4G, it is not a full 4G network. That's for LTE Advanced. The maximum theoretical data transfer rate is up to 175Mbps for download and up to 57.6Mbps for sending data in one frequency band.

NanoSIM is the smallest, most advanced type of SIM card.

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is an LTE technology that enables voice service over LTE. The standard must be supported by both your phone operator and the phone itself in order to work. Its advantages are high call quality and faster network connection.

A legújabb USB-csatlakozó a Type-C jelölést viseli.

A digital compass (magnetic sensor) detects the earth's magnetic field to determine the cardinal points. This enables the phone to correctly rotate the map to fit your orientation.

The motion of a gyroscope rotates in space on all three axes. In this case, it determines the direction in which you are moving your phone.

Accelerometers and G-Sensors are motion sensors that determine the tilt in space. The phone uses it to know which way it is being held, e.g. portrait, landscape or upside down.

The vast majority of modern mobile phones are equipped with a proximity sensor. Its task is to evaluate the distance of an object from the sensor. Once the object gets close, the telephone activates a particular function. One of the most common is the function to turn off the screen and the touch layer when the user dials a phone number and places the phone close to his ear.

Pure Android is an operating system for mobile phones with Android in its simplest form - it does not include an adjusted graphical interface or any features that are added to the operating system expansion by the individual manufacturers.
