A network switch is a functional network element that connects individual devices and other network elements. It is suitable for managing network traffic. The D-Link DGS-1005P is supposed to be placed on the desk or wall. This model has a switching capacity of 10 Gb/s. The Switch features 5 × RJ-45 ports that provide connection with network elements. 10/100Base-T technology facilitates data transfer with a speed of up to 100 Mbit/s. 10/100/1000Base-T technology facilitates file transfer with a speed of up to 1000 Mbit/s. The switch dimensions are 100 × 98 × 28mm. QoS or Quality of Service technology makes sure the switch stays within its capacity, and it also lets you set up end station priority. The D-Link device includes PoE technology, which provides power and signal connection to end devices with just one LAN cable. The switch weighs 260g.
