Latino Café Coffee Uganda
bean, 100 g
Coffee from Uganda definitely deserves your attention. The experts themselves predict a great future for it. The taste of Ugandan coffee is well balanced and elegantly blends hints of dark chocolate and jasmine. The taste of cocoa beans and almonds briefly emerges during the aftertaste. Sparkling citrus notes and sweet floral aromas are another feature of this interesting medium-bodied coffee. It is best grown in the northeast along the Kenyan border, around Bugisu, Mount Elgon and in the west around Mount Ruwensori. And it is ready for export in January or February. In November 1990, the Coffee Marketing Board (CMB) monopoly was abolished in order to improve the quality of production and reduce prices. Quality coffee is also suitable as a gift.

Uganda
This presidential republic is located in the interior of East Africa. Due to the power struggles in the country, coffee farming is quite volatile and damages other industries in the country. Although Uganda is one of the big coffee growers, the locals often prefer tea. Therefore, almost all the coffee beans grown are exported immediately. Coffee trees from Uganda produce large beans with a brownish-green colour and a harsher taste. It is mostly grown around the capital Kampala. The biggest problem in the country is the lack of roads, which makes any kind of trade very difficult.
Freshness is an absolute priority
Coffee is definitely not the kind of thing that would sit on a shelf for weeks and months waiting for someone to finally buy it and ship it. Arabica is imported to the Czech Republic from selected destinations green and in original jute bags, because they put a real emphasis on authenticity. They roast the coffee for as short a time as possible before shipping to ensure you're drinking fresh coffee.
How do you roast Arabica?
They always try to get the most out of green arabica because they know that their customers have refined tastes and want to indulge in quality coffee. For most of the imported arabicas, we have found medium roasting to suppress the acidity characteristic of lighter roasts and, on the contrary, to bring out the typical coffee aroma with hints of nuts, chocolate or caramel. At the same time, this roasting process preserves a certain smoothness and lightness of the coffee, so don't expect any earthy and dense notes that would distract from the gourmet experience.
