The SC212 is a Marshall guitar speaker from the Studio Classic series. It is primarily designed for connection with the SC20H amplifier or as an extension of the SC20C combo, but it can also work well in cooperation with other instruments of similar performance. The Studio Classic series is aimed at fans of the traditional JCM800 sound, and the SC212 cabinet is designed in this spirit, giving the amplifier's hi-gain sound a pure British imprint. Whether it's great tone with rich detail or distinctive design, the speaker honours the brand's classics and offers them in a stylish form with an emphasis on simple elegance, durability and impeccable functionality.
The skeleton with a bevelled front is fitted with two 12-inch Celestion V-Type loudspeakers in a horizontal configuration. It has a power output of 140 W at an impedance of 8 Ohms, and a single 6.3 mm jack connector on the back is used for connection. In addition to the sound quality, the manufacturer also emphasizes durability during frequent use and moving the equipment on concert cords. Stability is ensured by hardened rubber feet, handling is facilitated by recessed handles on the sides of the cabinet, the corners of which are protected by plastic covers. The traditional look is accentuated by the black sheer fabric with white piping and the distinctive iconic logo on the front. The dimensions of the box are 750x535x320 mm with a weight of 22.7 kg.
With the Studio series, Marshall returns to the roots of the brand, the amplifiers that defined the rock sound in the 1960s, 70s and 80s. The manufacturer brings the proven classics in a series of reduced formats with 20 W power and built-in reduction to 5 W, but it does not detract from the legendary sound of the original instruments. The Studio series is further subdivided according to its designs into amplifiers labeled Studio Classic (replicas of the JCM800), Studio Vintage (based on the JMP 1959SLP), and Studio Jubilee (based on the Silver Jubilee machines launched for the brand's 25th anniversary).
