Noctua NF-A14 PWM

The Noctua NF-A14 PWM fan employs the power of seven integrated rotor blades of 140mm diameter. The blade speed is 1500 RPM, and the LNA adapter speed reduces to 1200 RPM. Air flow is increased by channels at the end of the blades. To the motherboard, the fan is connected via a 4-pin connector. It also offers an unprecedented average time of trouble-free operation of over 150,000 hours (17 years!). All of this with outstanding performance, legendary quiet operation and all the great features that will be appreciated by true computer enthusiasts.

 

Metal bearing cover

In order to achieve the highest possible quality of factory work, Noctua uses only the best materials. The bearings are therefore hidden in a cap made entirely of brass. This guarantees, among other things, their long service life and low wear.

 

 

Innovative PWM IC control with SCD

The Noctua NF-A14 PWM supports fully automatic speed control. Its main advantage is the smooth Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD), which eliminates undesirable jumps and delivers quieter operation, especially at slower rotation speeds. In addition, the fan comes with a Low-Noise Adapter (LNA) to reduce the maximum speed from 1500 to 1200 rpm. Resistance can be used both to fix the speed to 1500 rpm and to reduce the maximum speed to 1200 rpm.

 

 

SSO2 bearings

Well-proven proprietary Noctua bearings have been further refined to provide the quietest possible operation. Noctua NF-A14 uses optimised SSO2 bearings. In the second generation, the rear magnet is located even closer to the axis and therefore offers better stability, precision and durability, which also helps to place the bearing in a massive brass body.

 

 

Extensive connection support

The fan is equipped with a twenty centimeter short cable. Using the supplied 30-cm extension cable , however, you plug it into almost any spacious cabinet. Both cables are fully braided and the Y-structure allows the second fan to connect to the same PWM head for automatic speed control.
