Sleep-PRO red glasses against blue and green light

Sleep-PRO red glasses against blue and green light
The SLEEP-1 red glasses against blue and green light are designed to be worn 1–1.5 hours before sleep to suppress the blue and green spectral components that reduce melatonin production in the evening.
Key features of the Sleep-PRO glasses
- Red lenses block 99.9% of the blue and 99% of the green spectral components
- The most comfortable glasses against blue and green light
- Adjustable rubber temples
- Rubber nose piece
- Softened plastic on the upper edge of the frame
- Adjustable frame tilt
- Glasses block light from all sides
- Lightweight and easily portable
- Robust construction ensures a long lifespan
- Universal size for adults
- Can be worn over smaller prescription glasses
- Clear glasses do not eliminate most of the blue spectrum, and therefore not the green spectrum either; if the glasses are working, both spectra must look the same when viewed through them, with no blue and minimal green visible
- Colour spectrum for a home test of blue light blocking glasses: The glasses filter blue light if both colour spectra match when viewed through them
- The glasses also filter the green spectral component if the green colour appears faded
Blue light blocking glasses can be categorised as follows
Clear (colourless) glasses – eliminate violet light at best, and 0% of blue and 0% of green light (see test below)
Yellow glasses – eliminate approx. 50% of blue light (depending on the shade)
Orange glasses – eliminate 99% of the blue spectrum and part of the green spectrum
Red glasses – eliminate 99.9% of the blue and 99% of the green spectra that negatively affect the circadian rhythm
Clear glasses cannot absorb blue and green spectral components. Why? If all light spectra pass through an object (in our case, the glasses), the object appears clear (colourless) to our eyes. If blue and green light do not pass through the object, meaning only yellow to red light passes through, the object (the lens of the glasses) appears red. It follows that it is physically impossible for clear (colourless) glasses to filter blue and green spectral components.
