The Garmont 9.81 Pulse low-cut unisex shoe is designed for hiking in light terrain and trail activities during the spring, summer and autumn seasons. The 348.5g construction uses a synthetic knit upper made from recycled materials and a Garmont GTF Magnet outsole. The speed lacing system is complemented by a shock-absorbing EVA foam midsole.
Garmont 9.81 Pulse upper construction
The upper is made of a one-piece knit made from recycled PET with lightweight reinforcements for shape retention. Integrated ventilation holes ensure air circulation and moisture removal. The mesh tongue features asymmetrical thermoformed padding that reduces pressure on the instep. The design includes a protective sleeve that prevents dirt and small stones from entering.
Damping and torsional stability
The Plume Foam midsole uses EVA foam with a sugarcane material blend to effectively absorb shock upon impact. Under the arch is a high-density EVA foam insert that provides torsional support and increases stability on uneven surfaces. This combination of materials provides a balance between soft footing and the necessary stiffness.
Traction sole of Garmont GTF Magnet trekking boots
Contact with the terrain is provided by a rubber compound outsole designed for grip on both dry and wet surfaces. The tread uses wedge-shaped lugs for traction on climbs. The sharp edge in the heel area serves for effective braking during descents and increases safety in more technical passages.
Internal equipment and foot fixation
The anatomically shaped Garmont PUfoam insole, partly made from recycled manufacturing waste, is soft and removable. The foot is fixed using a quick-lacing system that allows for immediate tightening and even distribution of pressure without tying classic knots.
