Stainless Steel Rapid Boil Kettles

Stainless steel kettles are notable for their high quality and great material. Stainless steel remains stable even at extreme temperatures, is completely harmless, and easy to maintain. You can choose from a wide range of products, featuring virtually all colours, functions and technical parameters.

How to choose a stainless steel kettle?

What kettle capacity do I need?

When choosing the size of the kettle, ask yourself how much hot water you usually boil. Does your household have only two people? Or do you host your whole extended family every weekend and boil six cups of tea at once?

  • For 1-2 person households, we recommend kettles up to 1 litre in volume.
  • If your household has 3 or more people or you have visitors often, we recommend choosing a kettle at least 1.5 litre in volume.

One litre of water gives you 4-5 typical cups of tea or coffee.

What wattage is ideal?

Generally, the higher the wattage, the faster the water is heated. Of course, higher wattage also means proportionally higher power consumption. For electric kettles, their wattage typically ranges from 700 W to 3000 W. Higher wattage is recommended for large kettles, but most people should probably opt for the middle road and buy a kettle with a wattage of 2,200 W or so.

Boil only as much water as you really need. It saves both time and money.

What about the heating coil?

The heating element that heats up water. There are two main types - concealed and visible.

  • Visible heating element - increasingly less popular mainly due to its difficult maintenance. This type is prone to accumulating limescale and other calcium deposits, which reduces efficiency and the lifespan of the appliance. On the other hand, it boils water slightly faster.
  • Concealed heating element - the heating element can’t be seen, because it’s built into the kettle bottom, keeping it limescale-free. This type is easier to maintain, but also a tad slower when boiling water.

Additional features

  • A filter protects against limescale and mineral deposits. It captures any impurities when pouring boiled water. The removable filter type is easily washable.
  • A watermark lets you check the water levels. Some kettles have multiple watermarks or are double-sided for extra convenience.
  • A swivel base greatly increases user comfort. The 360° connector makes a kettle easier to handle.
  • Water temperature control is useful if you want to serve premium teas and coffees. As a rule, you can choose from a temperature range of 70-100 °C.
  • Anti-Drip system was developed to enable easier pouring without spillage or leaking.
  • Dry boil prevention protects the device from damage. The kettle shuts off automatically when empty.
