If it detects suspicious movement in the form of an approaching vehicle or an attempted break-in, it will send you an alert via an app on your smart device.

Vantrue S1 Pro can detect motion
The Vantrue S1 Pro offers a motion detection mode. When motion is detected around the vehicle, both cameras start recording and buffering video, 15 seconds before and 30 seconds after the event. The parking mode will record a recording when you hit a parked vehicle. The camera automatically enters parking mode if no motion is detected for 5 minutes. However, it continues to record footage in 720P resolution.
Parking mode allows the Vantrue S1 Pro to record continuously at 1 FPS
Parking mode allows the Vantrue S1 Pro to record continuously at 1 FPS, with videos playing back at 30 FPS. Each minute of time-lapse video in parking mode covers 30 minutes in real time. However, the camera does not record sound in parking mode.
