5W of power and a passive radiator
The Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Essential uses two full-range drivers and one large passive radiator to reproduce sound in a compact design. The rated power reaches 5W and the system is designed with bass enhancement. The large passive radiator supports the reproduction of low frequencies, and the manufacturer also states clean and natural vocals. The rounded design is covered with a fine textile mesh complemented by a shiny decorative strip. The speaker measures 9.8 × 4.6 × 13cm and weighs approximately 200g.
Up to 10 hours of battery life and IP66 rating
The built-in 1000mAh battery provides up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge. Charging is done via the USB-C connector. The IP66 rating ensures it is resistant to dust and water and can also handle light rain. Stability during outdoor use is supported by a non-slip rubber base and the side connector is protected by a waterproof cap. A colour status indicator informs you about power on, Bluetooth pairing, stereo or multi-speaker mode, charging and low battery.

Wireless communication is provided by Bluetooth 6.0 with support for TWS stereo pairing of two speakers. In this connection, the two speakers work as the left and right channels of a stereo setup. The multi-speaker pairing feature allows you to link up to 10 compatible units for synchronised playback of the same content. The speaker also supports USB sound card mode and can be used as an external audio output device for a computer or tablet when connected. The built-in microphone allows you to receive incoming calls and communicate via the speaker.
