Ceresit CT 7 Universal is a universal primer. It is used for priming absorbent substrates, both indoors and outdoors, before applying ceramic tiles, thermal insulation boards, painting, wallpapering, and skimming. It can be used on all non-absorbent substrates, such as concrete, cement and lime-cement plasters, and aerated concrete. Substrates treated with this primer exhibit lower absorbency, which prevents adhesives, skim coats, and paints from drying out too quickly. The Ceresit CT 7 Universal primer is vapour-permeable and effectively increases the substrate's adhesion.
How to use:
1. Substrates primed with CERESIT CT 7 must be dry, load-bearing, and free of substances that reduce adhesion: grease, bitumen, dust, etc. Dirt and weak layers must be removed. This also applies to existing adhesive paints, which need to be scraped off and washed off with water.
2. Shake the CERESIT CT 7 container several times. Plaster substrates and thick coats of paint must be sanded with coarse sandpaper and thoroughly cleaned and dusted. In areas where algae and mould are growing, a fungicide should be used.
3. Apply the prepared CERESIT CT 7 Universal primer to the substrate with a brush or roller. CT 7 dries in approx. 2 hours. If the substrate is still absorbent after drying, the priming process should be repeated. Wash tools and fresh splashes with water.
