Imagine a power outage just before your work was about to be automatically saved. Almost all your work has vanished, and you have to start all over again. Such catastrophic scenarios can be warded off by the CyberPower PR2200ERT2U backup source, or UPS. In principle, this hardware is just a battery reservoir that provides power for all devices that need electricity. The CyberPower PR2200ERT2U UPS has the Line interactive design approach. Off-line is classified as the most basic form if the electricity is interrupted because it connects to the battery and disconnects from the mains power. The line interactive UPS enhances the simpler off-line version of data line surge suppression to guard against dangerous surges travelling along data lines.

An important attribute is the backup time. This depends on the energy consumption – for example, at half-load (50%), the run time will be three times longer. The load of the UPS determines the operating time, which at full load (100%) is 3 min and at half the energy consumption, it is 11,4 min. It is therefore necessary to determine the power consumption of the connected computers, monitors and other electronics and it is a good idea to have a bit of energy extra left. The CyberPower PR2200ERT2U shows the apparent power as 2200, but realistically, the actual usage matches the value of 2200 W.
