You will have a choice of one of three basic classes (Fighter, Mage, Strider) which are further divided and combined into different hybrid variants

During your journey through the world of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, you will be joined by up to three companions with sophisticated artificial intelligence
Your hero's performance in Dragon's Dogma is determined right from their anatomy. If you choose a smaller character, you'll run into trouble when wading through water. A taller character, on the other hand, will be less agile.
The differences also affect the individual character classes, where you'll choose between Fighter, Mage, Assassin, Strider, and more.
Measure your strength against cyclopes, chimaeras, hydras, and dragons
You've guessed correctly—the main part of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is mostly combat. You'll battle mythical chimaeras and cyclopes, and as the game's title suggests, you'll also cross your sword with dragon claws.
Once you find a weak spot, you've won
The interestingly designed combat mechanics allow you to climb the bodies of large monsters, giving you better access to their vulnerable spots.
You'll be accompanied by three companions with surprisingly sophisticated AI
You won't be wandering the world of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen alone, but in the company of three AI-controlled sidekicks. The developers have done an excellent job with the AI. You'll soon notice that as soon as your sidekicks discover an enemy's weakness, they try to remember it and use it in future fights. This all adds a pleasant dynamic to the game, and you won't feel like you have to do all the fighting yourself.
