The Eaton UPS 9E 3000VA Tower with online double-conversion topology filters all power grid anomalies and delivers a continuous, pure sine wave voltage. This online UPS provides an apparent power of 3000VA and a real power of 2400W with a power factor of 0.8. At half load, it powers connected devices for 13 minutes, and at full load, for 4.7 minutes. You can connect the Eaton Intelligent Power Manager software for management and automated shutdown via the USB or serial port. A wide input voltage range from 176V to 300V reduces the need to switch to battery power, thus extending battery life. The tower design makes it easy to install as a free-standing unit in both office and server environments.
This backup power supply operates on an online double-conversion topology, which permanently isolates connected appliances from all anomalies in the power grid. With an apparent power of 3000VA and a real power of 2400W, it can handle demanding IT setups. A high efficiency of up to 98% at full load reduces operating costs and heat generation. The backup time is 4.7 minutes at full load and 13 minutes at half load.
The power supply contains six sealed lead-acid batteries with 12V and 9Ah parameters. Integrated deep-discharge protection extends the battery life, and automatic battery testing regularly checks their condition. The batteries are user-replaceable, and the total backup time can be further extended by connecting external battery modules. The cold start function starts the UPS directly from the batteries without needing a mains connection.
For communication and management, the power supply includes USB and RS232 ports. It also has an expansion slot for optional communication cards, such as for network management. The included Eaton Intelligent Power Manager and Intelligent Power Protector software provides detailed monitoring and automated actions, like the gradual shutdown of servers during a prolonged power outage. Additionally, the USB port is HID-compliant for basic management without needing to install drivers.
A C20 input connector handles the connection of the power supply to the mains. To power protected devices, it offers a total of seven output sockets that deliver a pure sine wave voltage. Their configuration includes six IEC C13 sockets and one high-current IEC C19 socket. This array of ports covers the common requirements for connecting servers, network components, and other IT equipment.
