Need for Speed Rivals: Complete Edition - Xbox One
Kingdom of Myrtana
Need for Speed Rivals Xbox One immerses you in the open world of Redview County, where the line between solo play and online multiplayer blurs seamlessly. Without loading, you join a world where your friends are already racing, dodging the police or hunting down illegal riders.
Cop or racer?
Xbox One's Need For Speed Rivals builds on the constant tension between racers and cops. Each side has its own goals, challenges and rewards, and also its own consequences if the risk doesn't work out. Racers fight for fame and reputation, police officers fight to maintain order by any means necessary.
To the limits
Fast cars, extensive modifications and modern technology await you on the open roads and can make the difference between victory and defeat. Every chase is a bet of everything, where reflexes, strategy and the courage to go to the limit are the deciding factors.
RACE
In an open world
Need for Speed Rivals Xbox One continues the long-standing tradition of the famous car series, but this time under the direction of Swedish studio Ghost Games. The team is made up of experienced developers who have previously worked on titles such as Project Gotham Racing, Blur, Split Second and Forza Horizon, which is evident in the emphasis on dynamic driving and intense racing. In addition, publisher EA has added open-world game experts to its development team, including the lead designer of Far Cry 3 and Watch_Dogs.
POLICE
Barricades and electric shocks await you
The setting of the game is the open Redview region, a vast map designed for free riding and constant clashes between police and illegal racers. Players are free to choose their side of the law and try out completely different play styles. While the racers focus on speed, evasion and reputation, the cops use tactics, cooperation and special equipment, including roadblocks and electric shocks inspired by Hot Pursuit.
COOPERATION
Linking single and multiplayer
The cornerstone of Xbox One's Need For Speed Rivals gameplay is the AllDrive system, which seamlessly integrates singleplayer and multiplayer into one. Other living players can appear at any time while driving through the open world, either as opponents or allies. The game creates unpredictable situations where a simple drive can turn into a dramatic chase or a cooperative engagement against a single target in an instant.
GRAPHICS
Graphics with smooth transitions
The technological foundation of Need for Speed Rivals Xbox One is the Frostbite 3 engine, familiar from Battlefield 4, which enables detailed environments, smooth transitions between events and fast-paced action. On the next-generation consoles, the engineering brings an emphasis on fluidity and visual quality that brings out the speed, destruction and atmosphere of constant rivalry on the roads of Redview County.
