The board game Cascadia: Gördülő folyók transports players to the North American wilderness, where the main task is to populate the local rivers. This is a roll-and-write game, where participants draw game elements onto their paper sheets. Using dice rolls, you gradually create a diverse ecosystem full of wild animals and different types of habitats. The goal is to get as many points as possible for the correct arrangement of fauna and flora within a set number of rounds. This family game is for 1–4 players aged 10 and up, and one game takes 30 minutes.
Each participant takes on the role of creating their own piece of the wild. Your task is to strategically place different species of animals in suitable habitats on the game board. During your turn, you combine the results of dice rolls to gain the most advantageous combinations. You earn points for successfully connecting rivers, forests, and other types of environments with their natural inhabitants.
The entire game takes place over 20 consecutive rounds. The active player rolls a set of dice, which determine the available animal and habitat symbols for that round. Opponents then use these values on their score sheets to draw in bears, elk, foxes, eagles, or salmon. The right timing and choosing the correct space decide your overall success in the final scoring.
The box contains a wealth of equipment to start playing immediately. The main part consists of 64 double-sided score sheets, which provide plenty of space for recording your game progress. Cardboard game elements are complemented by cards to enhance replayability. There is also a pencil and game aids to help you keep track of the rules.
