Hitster Movies & TV Soundtracks

Hitster Movies & TV Soundtracks
Test your knowledge of iconic silver screen tunes
With the Hitster Movies & TV Soundtracks expansion for the popular party game, you can put your knowledge of famous film and TV tunes to the test. The game's principle is the same as the original Hitster – players use a QR code to play a song and their task is to place it correctly on their timeline. The first player to arrange 10 songs in order of release becomes the winner and earns the title of Hitster. The Hitster Movies & TV Soundtracks expansion is not playable on its own; you need the base game to play. It is designed for 2–10 players aged 16 and over. Set aside approximately 30 minutes for one game.

Fun for film and TV music lovers
At the beginning of a game of Hitster Movies & TV Soundtracks, each player receives one music card (face up), which serves as the start of their timeline. The first player to take a turn scans the QR code of the music card on top of the draw pile using the app. The player to their left then places the card (face down) on their timeline after the song has played. The card is then turned over to check if it is in the correct chronological position. If it is, the player keeps it. The first player to collect 10 correctly placed cards wins.
More strategy with tokens
If you want to spice up your Hitster Movies & TV Soundtracks game, you can include tokens. Each player receives two at the start, and can earn more during the game (up to a maximum of 5) by correctly naming the song and artist. On their turn, a player can spend one of their tokens to skip the current song and take a new music card. They can also use a token on an opponent's turn if they believe the other player has placed the music card incorrectly on their timeline. If they are right, they get that card for their own timeline. At any time, 3 tokens can be exchanged to place a music card from the draw pile onto your own timeline.
For beginners and music experts
The Hitster Movies & TV Soundtracks expansion can be played at an advanced level, where you have to name the artist and song title to get the music card, or an expert challenge, which also requires the exact year of release. The game can also be played individually or in teams, and there's a cooperative mode where players work together to place music cards on the timeline. To play the game itself, you need a smart device with the free Hitster app installed and a Spotify streaming service, either the free or Premium version.
