School Backpacks & Bags

You can choose between a school bag and a backpack. For first grade pupils we generally recommend buying a school bag with a clear internal arrangement and multiple compartments. When choosing a school bag, you should consider not only the design, but also its comfort and safety features.

Pay particular attention to the following aspects:

  • Anatomically shaped and padded back
  • Strap width - min. 30 mm
  • Reinforced bottom
  • Weight - max. 1.2 kg for elementary school children; max. 1.4 kg for older kids

Safety features

In terms of safety, the bag should have:

  • Bright colours
  • Reflective elements

Interior arrangement

  • At least 2 separate compartments for textbooks
  • Sufficient number of pockets and compartments enhances functionality
