Gateron double-rail magnetic switches
The Keychron K8 HE features pre-lubricated Gateron double-rail magnetic switches and advanced TMR sensors for an ultra-stable and highly responsive typing experience with continuous, lightning-fast feedback and precise control over the keyboard's response.
Advanced TMR sensors
The Keychron K8 gaming keyboard is equipped with cutting-edge Tunnelling Magnetoresistance (TMR) effect technology to detect precise changes in distance and magnetic field through subtle changes in resistance. Each key has its own TMR sensor for high-resolution sensing, which ensures high precision and ultra-low latency.
Adjustable actuation point
Customise every key with precision—set actuation points from 0.2mm to 3.8mm with 0.1mm sensitivity. Set shallow keystrokes for instant actions and deeper ones for deliberate engagement, minimising accidental touches and giving you an edge in both gaming and typing.
Last Key Priority (LKP) and Snap Click
LKP enables fluid direction changes by prioritising the last key pressed, ensuring smoother gameplay in titles like Valorant. With Snap Click, deeper key presses take precedence when two keys are pressed simultaneously, automatically resetting the shallower presses.
*These are disabled by default but can be easily enabled in the Keychron Launcher web app as needed.
Suitable for all devices
Designed with Mac users in mind while maintaining compatibility with Windows devices, the K8 HE comes with a system switch and a set of customised keycaps for both Windows and macOS. You can save two different layouts on the keyboard, one for each system.
Double-shot PBT keycaps
The PBT keycaps (non-shine-through OSA profile on special editions) provide excellent oil resistance, enhance the typing feel, and prevent the legends from fading.
Dynamic Rapid Trigger
Keys activate or deactivate based on the depth of the press, not at predefined points. This delivers an instant response—press to activate, release to reset—which means faster and more precise control. In fast-paced games, this lets you perform complex actions in real-time without delay, giving you a distinct advantage during rapid sequences.
One key, multiple actions
With Dynamic Keystrokes (DKS), you can assign up to 4 different actions to a single key based on the press depth. A light press moves a character, a deeper press makes them run, and releasing the key allows for further commands. Layered controls let you execute multiple movements with ease.
Analogue mode
Experience the power of analogue mode on the K8 HE, which delivers gamepad-like precision. The mode allows for variable inputs instead of standard on/off signals, ensuring smoother and more dynamic control. With every keystroke, the K8 HE detects the press depth and translates it into varying speeds and intensities. The fine-tuned control and enhanced responsiveness are especially noticeable in racing games, sports simulations, and more.
Programme with QMK and Launcher
The open-source QMK firmware offers extensive options for remapping keys, creating macros, shortcuts, and more. You can easily customise every key using the Keychron Launcher web app.
2.4GHz and Bluetooth connection
Experience top-tier gaming performance with the K8 HE's 2.4GHz wireless connection, featuring a rapid 1000Hz polling rate. For seamless multitasking between your computer, phone, and tablet, you can connect the K8 HE to up to three devices via Bluetooth 5.2.
Magnetic switches
Unlike mechanical switches that rely on physical contact, magnetic switches use magnets to detect keystrokes. Swapping to compatible magnetic switches is easy.
*The K8 HE is only compatible with dual-rail magnetic switches sold on the Keychron website.
Newly improved stabilisers
The improved stabilisers have reinforced sidewalls around the stem, which provides additional protection and significantly improves stability. The ‘walls’ create a tighter connection between the switches and keycaps, ensuring a smoother and more reliable typing experience on large keys like the spacebar, shift, enter, and delete.
Epic core inside the keyboard
Designed with a powerful chip (MCU) with 256K flash and open-source QMK firmware, which provides greater flexibility. The polling rate is 1000Hz right out of the box in Type-C (wired) mode and 2.4GHz mode, which is a huge help for competitive gaming.
Satisfying key acoustics
With pre-lubed switches, 3.5mm thick EVA acoustic foam, EPDM foam and a silicone pad inside the keyboard, the Keychron K8 HE provides an exceptionally satisfying, soft and rich typing sound.
North-facing RGB LED lights
Choose from over 22 backlight modes and adjust the hue, saturation, brightness and effect speed directly in the Keychron Launcher application.
