Power and cooling
A stable power supply for multi-core processors is provided by the digital Duet Rail power system in a 14+2+1 phase configuration with an 80A Smart Power Stage. The system is powered by two 8-pin CPU connectors. Heat dissipation from the power delivery components is managed by an extended heatsink design. Its efficiency is enhanced by thermal pads with a conductivity of 7W/mK and a separate heatsink for the VRM. The enlarged passive chipset heatsink and the EZ M.2 Shield Frozr II heatsink maintain optimal temperatures for storage and system components, even under sustained load.
Fast network and USB connectivity
For network connection, the board integrates a Realtek 5G LAN port, complemented by a wireless module with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 technology. This combination provides high transfer speeds and low latency for online gaming and streaming. The rear panel offers a wide range of USB ports, including one USB 20Gbps Type-C port for the fastest data transfers. It also includes USB 10Gbps Type-C and Type-A ports, as well as USB 5Gbps and USB 2.0 ports. For monitor connection, there is an HDMI 2.1 output, which supports resolutions up to 8K at 60Hz with a compatible processor.
Performance and storage
The board supports the most powerful components thanks to its main SMT PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, which the manufacturer has reinforced with Steel Armor II technology for greater mechanical durability. For ultra-fast storage, it includes a total of three M.2 slots. One of them supports the PCIe 5.0 x4 standard, while the other two operate on the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. For additional drives, there are four SATA III ports available. The four DIMM memory slots support DDR5 modules with frequencies up to 8200MHz in OC mode and a total capacity of up to 256GB.
Easy system assembly and diagnostics
Assembling components and subsequent system maintenance are simplified by features from the EZ DIY package. This includes the tool-free EZ M.2 Clip II system for securing M.2 drives and the EZ PCIe Release button for easily removing the graphics card from its slot. Wireless connectivity installation is made easier by the EZ Antenna, which simply clicks into place. For quick diagnosis of any problems during computer start-up, there are EZ Debug LEDs and EZ Memory Detection LEDs. The user-friendly MSI Click BIOS X interface is used for performance tuning and system settings.
