A bright and versatile flash for both studio and outdoor use. This is Nikon's first flash which is radio controlled. Radio signals provide a working distance of up to 30m. This will allow you to create complex illumination patterns in flash locations both on and off the camera. The Nikon SB-5000 is also equipped with a new cooling system that allows you to take more than 100 exposures in a row with full flash output.
I-TTL (intelligent internal flash metering) is fully compatible with FX and DX digital SLR cameras. Combined with the WR-R10 remote control, light patterns with one or more flashes can be used. The flash can be used in the camera accessory shoe, set up as a wireless controller, or used as a Remote in the Nikon Creative Lighting System. Wireless radio control does not require mutual visibility between the Master flash and the Remote flash.
The flash provides a guide number of 34.5 and covers a focal length range of 24-200mm (14mm using a built-in wide scatter panel). A reflective card and diffuser attachment are also included in the supplied accessories. Colour filters can be purchased separately, creating almost unlimited possibilities with the Nikon SB-5000.
Of course there is a clear and intuitive operation, which will not waste your time. Three light distribution modes give full control over scene lighting for very specific shooting conditions. The control panel clearly displays all the important information. Alternatively, you can tilt the flash head down at an angle of 7° and tilt upwards at an angle of up to 90°. It also allows horizontal rotation by 180°. It has a low weight of only 420g.

Nikon’s beginnings date back to 1917 in Japan. At first, the company mainly produced lenses - telescopes, binoculars, microscopes and other small, optical equipment. Soon the company expanded its portfolio, producing photographic lenses under the Nikkor brand.
In the field of cameras, particularly among professionals, Nikon quickly gained a reputation as a top manufacturer, which continues today. Its cameras were even included in the equipment of American spacecraft. Nikon designed and produced the legendary Nikon SP 1957, regarded by many as the best camera of all time.
