The SONOFF Basic DIN Rail BASIC-ZB1GSP is a single-phase smart Zigbee switch designed for mounting on a standard DIN rail in an electrical distribution board. It allows you to remotely control the connected circuit while monitoring voltage, current, real-time power, and energy consumption. It works with a load of up to 32A / 7,680W, and its double-pole switching simultaneously disconnects both the live and neutral wires. It also features adjustable protection limits, timers, smart scenes, and a Zigbee router function to extend the range of your Zigbee network. A compatible Zigbee gateway is required for smart functions.

Up to 32A of Power for Demanding Electrical Circuits
The SONOFF BASIC-ZB1GSP handles currents of up to 32A and a maximum load of 7,680W. This makes it suitable for circuits such as electric underfloor heating, water heaters, heat pumps, or electric vehicle charging. The device is intended exclusively for single-phase 100–240V AC power and is installed in a distribution board on a DIN rail behind the appropriate circuit breaker.
Double-Pole Switching Disconnects Both Live and Neutral Wires
The switch uses a double-pole design that simultaneously disconnects both the live and neutral wires when turned off. This means the connected electrical circuit is physically disconnected on both L and N wires when the relay is open. This solution contributes to safer control and maintenance of the connected circuit.
An Overview of Current Draw and Long-Term Consumption
The BASIC-ZB1GSP continuously measures the electrical parameters of the connected circuit. In the app, you can monitor voltage, current, real-time power, and consumed electricity, as well as view daily, monthly, or six-monthly overviews. Energy data can be saved and exported for further processing. Consumption measurement is available when the load's neutral wire is connected to the switch's N output terminal. A temporary loss of connection to the gateway does not mean an immediate interruption of energy data recording. When offline, data is stored locally and synchronised again upon reconnection. However, if the switch itself is completely without power, it cannot record any energy data during this time.
Protection When Set Limits Are Exceeded
You can set threshold values for voltage, current, and power. If the specified limit is exceeded, the SONOFF BASIC-ZB1GSP automatically disconnects the output and prevents further power supply to the connected circuit. The protection status is also indicated by a light on the device itself.
UniBusbar Relay and Flame-Retardant Housing
Inside the switch is a UniBusbar relay, designed for high current loads and to limit heat build-up. The housing is made of polycarbonate with a UL94 V-0 flame-retardant rating. Its compact 18mm width also allows the device to occupy the space of a single standard module on the DIN rail.
Zigbee 3.0 and Mesh Network Extension
Communication is handled by Zigbee 3.0, based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard. The BASIC-ZB1GSP also functions as a Zigbee router, so it can relay communications for other Zigbee devices and help extend the coverage of your mesh network. A compatible Zigbee gateway is required to use smart functions. Supported SONOFF solutions include the ZBBridge-P, ZBBridge-U, NSPanel Pro, iHost, ZBDongle-P, and ZBDongle-E.
Timers, Automations, and Remote Control
The connected circuit can be turned on and off remotely or included in smart scenes. Schedules, timers, and an Inching mode are available, which automatically switches the device back to the off state after a set period. You can also configure the switch's behaviour after power is restored.
Apple Home via Matter Bridge
Although the BASIC-ZB1GSP itself communicates via Zigbee and is not a native Matter device, it can be made accessible to other ecosystems through a compatible Matter Bridge. Using a suitable gateway, it can be integrated into environments like Apple Home and combined with other smart home elements.
Direct mounting on a DIN rail
The design is ready for installation in electrical distribution boards on a standard DIN rail without additional adaptors. The switch is only 18mm wide and measures 84 × 66.5 × 18mm. It is designed for solid or stranded copper conductors with a cross-section of 4–10mm². The installation and maintenance of the electrical device must be carried out by a qualified electrician, and an appropriate MCB or RCBO with a maximum rating of 32A must be connected upstream of the BASIC-ZB1GSP.
