The SONOFF MINI ONE PM MINI-ZB1GSP is a compact single-channel Zigbee switch that transforms a standard wall switch or connected appliance into a part of your smart home. In addition to remote on/off control, it offers power consumption monitoring, bi-directional energy tracking, and electrical protection for the connected load up to 16A. It supports various external switch modes, smart timers, automations, and a Detach Relay mode for smart lights. Smart Control for Regular Appliances
The MINI-ZB1GSP is installed discreetly, for example, in a back box behind an existing wall switch. You can then turn the connected appliance on and off using the physical switch, through the app, or via smart home automations. The external input supports both classic toggle switches and momentary push buttons, with Pulse, Edge, and Following modes available in the app. Installation requires both live and neutral wires.
Consumption Monitoring and Cost Overview
The integrated meter provides information on the current voltage, current, and power, as well as the total energy consumed. In the app, you can view energy graphs, consumption history, and electricity costs based on your own energy price. Time-of-use tariffs are also supported, and historical data can be exported for further analysis. Up to 1 year of energy records can be stored in the cloud.
Bi-Directional Energy Metering
The SONOFF MINI ONE PM can record energy flow in both directions. In addition to consumption from the grid, it can also monitor energy generated by, for example, a balcony photovoltaic system. This generation can be displayed in the app as a negative energy value, giving you a better overview of your own electricity production.
Notification When an Appliance's Job is Done
The switch can detect when a connected appliance has finished its cycle based on its current power draw. If the power remains below a chosen threshold for a set period, the system can send a notification or automatically turn the appliance off. An adjustable delay helps prevent false triggers from short drops in power during normal operation, such as with a washing machine.
Operating Time and Maintenance Tracking
The MINI-ZB1GSP can count the time an appliance operates above a set power level. Once a chosen service interval is reached, it will then send a notification for necessary maintenance. This feature is useful for devices that require regular cleaning, inspection, or replacement of consumable parts.
Protection for Your Connected Device
You can set custom safety thresholds for current, voltage, and power, and the system also includes thermal protection. When protection is activated, the MINI-ZB1GSP can automatically cut off power to the connected device. This combines smart control and energy monitoring with checks for abnormal electrical conditions.
Detach Relay for Smart Lights
Detach Relay mode separates the state of the physical switch from the output relay itself. This allows a smart bulb to remain constantly powered, even when you use the wall switch, so it never loses its connection to your smart home. The state of the physical control can then be used as an input for automations instead of directly interrupting the power.
Zigbee Router with Turbo Mode
The MINI ONE PM communicates via Zigbee 3.0 and also functions as a router in a Zigbee mesh network. It relays signals between other Zigbee devices and can help extend network coverage in your home. The effective communication distance to the gateway can reach up to 180m in an open space, and up to 250m with Turbo mode activated.
Direct Zigbee Binding Control
The switch also supports Zigbee Binding. After the appropriate setup in Home Assistant, for example, a compatible Zigbee button can communicate directly with the MINI-ZB1GSP. The command between the paired Zigbee devices then doesn't have to go through the central hub.
Apple Home and Open Platforms
The MINI-ZB1GSP can also be integrated into the Apple Home environment via a compatible Matter Bridge. The switch also supports integration with Home Assistant via ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT. Some current integrations may require an additional script, and the availability of individual functions depends on the gateway and platform used.
Compact Design for Concealed Installation
Its dimensions of just 39.5×33×16.8mm make it easy to install in standard electrical boxes. A box with a depth of around 60mm is suitable for convenient placement of the module. You can connect solid or stranded copper wires with a cross-section of 0.75 to 2.5mm². The two L Out terminals are interconnected – they do not serve as two independently controllable channels and do not increase the maximum current capacity.
